Everybody is a self-proclaimed photographer thanks to Facebook...

Picture numero eins.
My oh-so-adorable daughter and our puppa dog "shitzo."

1. The purpose of this photo is to capture a moment that may not be experienced again.  I chose this picture because it is linked to a positive memory and I like to share positive moments with people.  It's significance, to me, is that my daughter has always been someone to warm my heart and this just captured the sheer innocence of her and the puppa dog.
2.  The emotional relationship between the subject and the photographer is a very strong one (even the dog looks attached emotionally.)  It influences the way the picture was taken because it changes the focus of the picture.  If there was no emotional attachment the picture might just be of the dog and not the little girl.  The photographer is clearly interested in the little girl because effort is made to include as much of her as possible, and the little girl is not as interested in the photographer.  The dog is, though!
3. This context is meant to be viewed in a informal, social context.  It is meant to evoke some warm-hearted, good natured 'awww's' by family and friends.  Yes, I still think I'll remember this photo in 10 years.

Foto number dos.
1.  The purpose of this photo is to, again, capture a moment and bring to mind a memory.  I kept it because I liked my hair in the picture (hey, at least I'm honest.)  It's not really significant, I just like my hurrrr.
2.  There is a familial relationship between the subject and photographer.  The picture focuses on the face of the subject as opposed to other details, the subject smiled which indicates a desire to look a certain way or please someone.  The subject is leaning toward the photographer indicating a desire to have their picture taken.  This overall feel makes the picture seemingly pleasant.
3.  The photo is intended to be viewed in a informal social setting by family and friends for not long.  No, I don't think I'll remember this photo in 10 years.

foto nummer three.

1.  The purpose of this photo is to entertain.  It was taken to make someone's not-so-awesome actions permanent.  I chose this picture because it makes me giggle - it's significant to me for that same reason.  I enjoy laughing at other peoples expense...only sometimes...and in limited doses.
2.  There is no emotional relationship between the subject and the photographer.  If there had been the subject would've likely been making either a goofy or profane gesture at the photographer.  The subject is oblivious and the photographer is a smart-a...lec.
3.  This photo is also meant to be viewed in an informal, social setting.  It's purpose is to entertain and it can be viewed by any number of people.  I will not likely remember this photo in ten years.
